Skins created by HBPencil with the template by 1CGS and ICDP, available from the IL-2 Sturmovik forum.

This pack contains four generic skins of Spitfire PR.IV (PR = Photo Reconaissance) aircraft to be used on the Spitfire Vb. As such these are "hack" skins in that I have applied
cameras to the fuselage of the aircraft (two vertical and one oblique) as well as redrawing many of the panel lines and rivets and adding details for the extra fuel and oil tanks
in the wings. I have used the alpha channel to hide the cannon barrels however their outline can be seen slightly when zoomed out while in an external view.

The four skins are:

- RAF (early), used in the ETO from about April 1941 (when the first PR.IV mission was flown) until July 1942.

- RAF (late), used in the ETO from July 1942 onwards.

- RAF (MTO), used in the Mediterranean.

- VVS, the VVS Northern Fleet operated a small number of PR.IVs from October 1942 until the end of the war in the Murmansk region. Colours and markings based on several poor
quality photos taken during NIIVVS testing.

Please note that the dates I have stated above aren't hard rules but rather a rough guideline, as photos show some PRU aircraft with older style markings after July 1942.
Also there was a variety of different colours used on PR.IVs, however I've used the most common colours as these are just generic skins. Likewise these airraft usually had
DH propellors rather than the ROTOL type used on the Vb in-game.

When using these skins please remember to set the aircraft to have 'no ammunition' for the historic accuracy as PR.IVs were completely unarmed.

Happy flying!
